REI Energy, LLC (“REI”) is a privately owned oil and natural gas exploration and production company headquartered in Richardson, Texas. We specialize in the acquisition, development, and management of conventional and unconventional oil and gas properties. Since 1987, REI and its affiliates have sponsored more than 100 partnerships that have collectively acquired interests in over 2,000 producing oil and gas wells and have participated in the drilling of more than 700 wells. Our portfolio currently includes oil and natural gas assets North Dakota, Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, New Mexico, and California (among other states). The diversity of our asset portfolio reflects the breadth of experience and skill set of our staff and executive team.
Through REI sponsored partnerships, we acquire, develop and manage both non-operated and operated oil and gas properties. The oil and gas properties owned by REI sponsored partnerships are currently located in the major onshore producing basins of the United States. However, REI affiliates also have experience in Argentina, Canada, and offshore in the Gulf of Mexico.
Our diverse and highly skilled workforce consists of experienced geologists, engineers, accountants, attorneys and landmen. These highly trained industry veterans have more than 30 years average experience. We have knowledge and contact networks necessary to source, evaluate, acquire and operate projects to their greatest potential.
REI is committed to providing our equity-based partners with sound oil and gas investment opportunities. We continuously search for new opportunities for our investors that meet our strict acquisition criteria. We evaluate all prospective property acquisitions based on their oil and natural gas producing potential and all acquisitions are thoroughly vetted by our team. Acquisition decisions are based on our stringent engineering, geologic, financial, legal and land review. The properties we acquire and develop must have the potential for profitability and we look for indicators including established production histories, longevity, and upside potential. In addition, REI partners with established and proven operators, include such companies as: EOG Resources, ConocoPhillips, Hess, Whiting Oil and Gas, Marathon Oil Corporation, and XTO Energy.
